     “Polaroid t1031″ 2010-09-02
    By Elizabeth Wang
For the price, I am very happy with this camera. I’m am no camera expert but I feel that the resolution was very clear, I could use some of the pictures for my drawings. The camera is great I have owned it a while! I had my friend take some pictures of me competing in a drawing contest. The pictures turned out very nice! Especially for the price this camera is a good DEAL! I was just gonna use it for just hanging out with friends and photographing my drawings, but I might use it for more.

This camera never took a decent picture in the 24 hours I had it. It went back the next day. The images were blurry and I was not happy with the zoom. I purchased a Nikon Cool Pix and am thrilled with the results. Save yourself some aggravation and don’t choose this Polaroid.

Photos are great. I use this at work, and the photos turn out great. Very user friendly. I love orange – so this was meant for me.

I bout this camera about a week ago it came on friday and it was packaged very nice. i opened it and i took a pic and it was a good pic when u had the flash on , but if u didnt have the flash on the pics werent good. And the flash was realy bright it was blinding! the next day i went to take a pic of my cows and as i was walking back the lens wouldnt come out and i turned it on and it just made a grainy noise and then it just said goodbye. so i plaayed with it for a while and still no luck. the color of this is nice but the camera is very bad. i wouldnt recomend that any1 buys this.

Sometimes you might think that purchasing something cheap would turn out to be unfunctional (as usual) but I must admit this Polaroid breaks the scheme on this one! Very good camera, nice resolution, very functional, great features. Only thing, as some have already mentioned it is kinda slow when it comes to taking a shot, anyhow thats nothing to worry about unless your willing to use this camera for professional purposes (which is not its use).

     “Great cheap battery” 2010-09-03
    By Nicholas Sushkin
Yup, it works. Not a dud at all. Bought two of them for the price of half of the original battery and used them on a long trip.

     “Couldn’t be more pleased..” 2010-08-29
    By John Crane
I’ve only had the battery for about a month, but it’s surpassed my expectations so far.. I took it on a trip to Korea (South..) as a back up. The specs for the camera (Canon SD1200IS) said it could take like 250 pics with one battery charge. Well I got up to 390 pics and the battery meter was just starting to waiver between full and 2/3 bars. I went to change batteries anyway as the majority of the trip was over, and I realized I had this battery in all along and not the supplied Canon battery. Oh, and probably took 5-6 videos of about 1 minute as well as the 390 pics.

     “Poor quality” 2010-08-27
By Joe Milton (Hillsboro, OR USA)
I ordered this battery for my Canon S90, but when I tried to insert it it would not go in all the way. So I examined it next to my genuine Canon battery and it appeared to be identical. So I fiddled with it some more and discovered that the top of the battery was loose and wobbly, so if I pressed on it to straighten it out, THEN it inserted into the camera. Obviously it’s a cheap knockoff from some sweatshop factory. Once it was in the camera it seemed to work fine, but you definitely get what you pay for regarding batteries.

“Good OEM battery for the S90″ 2010-08-26
    By Arun
I don’t know why anyone would pay 5 times as much for the Canon battery. I bought two of these as spares and they work fine.

They are not as well finished as the original, but seem to work fine.

     “Great Second Battery” 2010-08-21
    By Doc McGuire (Nevada)
OK, so I bought a new digital camera about a year ago for the new baby on the way. Wanted to capture all the precious moments, like we all do. Thinking ahead, I started looking for a second battery – nothing’s worse than running out of juice at the wrong time. I seem to remember reviews being rather mixed on this one, but it was really cheap compared to retail. So, we bought it thinking that even if it works only so-so, it would give us time to charge the other one. Well, we still use it all the time, switching out between the original and this one so that one is always charged. Battery life seems comparable to the Canon battery and it fits perfectly in the camera and charger. Don’t pay retail! This is a good battery that we have used regularly for some time now with no problems.

     “Nice Camera!” 2010-08-18
    By Mr. Sweet

Went from a Canon Elphe to this cheapo. I was surprisingly impressed. The battery life is very good, pictures are great. Video and audio very nice as well. I think this camera has a better microphone than many other more expensive cameras. The wide lens w 5x Zoom is just that little extra I need with many only having a 3x optical zoom. This camera is quite solid and feels sturdy. Transferring files to and from camera is as straight forward as any simple external drive, flash card, usb drive etc. This was not the case with my Canon. Many people seem to have a hard time getting good shots with this. To use image stabilization you must set the dial to image stabilization mode and out of the standard camera mode. This is probably other reviewers problems. Helps to learn a little about working the camera before writing a review.

The only Con I have is that it is a larger camera than the very tiny Canon Elph. At 1/5 the cost who cares! I use energizer rechargeable batteries & I have NO complaints about the battery life.

     “Waste of Money” 2010-07-28
    By PoisonGrl21
I bought this camera in April (from K-Mart, not Amazon) and at first I was really pleased with the quality of the pictures that it took. But then in July the camera randomly started displaying lines through every photo I took. I have looked at all of the camera’s settings and I can not figure out what is wrong with it. I have never dropped it or anything. I have tried several different things to get rid of the lines and nothing works. It really was a disappointment as the camera did take really nice pictures for the 3 months that it worked. I have since switched back to my Kodak Easyshare and suggest you buy one of those instead of this piece of crap.

     “POS!!” 2010-07-12
    By R. Weinstein (New York)
Save your money…this camera is not worth it at any price! I thought I was buying an inexpensive everyday camera that would be good to take on vacations. I was right about one thing…it is inexpensive. It is cheaply made and broke the first time I used it.

I received it for a gift and after only taking a few pictures the LCD screen broke. I contacted Tiger Direct and after telling them my problem, they refused to make good on the product and told me I had to contact the manufacturer….which I did. GE was glad to help me and fix the camera, but for a price. Practically the price of the camera itself and with shipping and all, it would have cost me more to fix it than to buy a new one. NO THANK YOU. I then put a claim into Amazon and they were no help at all. So now I am stuck with a camera that is broken. The camera is so poorly made and light that I can’t even use it for a paper weight.

I guess the old adage of “you get what you pay for” applies here to the letter. I will never buy from anything that Tiger Direct sells on Amazon again, nor will I think that Amazon puts their customers first.

     “Smile!!!” 2010-06-17
By Peter Penn (Spokane, WA, US)
OK, I picked a cheezey title but this camera is way more amazing than some are giving credit for. Occasionally I’ll get a blurry pic if I’m not careful but most of them are way beyond what I expected. I’ve had a walking person in mixed light turn out blurry, probably, because I wiggled or because of the mixed light but I also caught a mountain waterfall with bits of flying water stunningly frozen in time.

I have a nice Canon XTi DSLR and a very nice lens for it that I got for nature photography. Trouble is, on most backpacking trips I have enough weight already so I bought this little GE jewel for portability that I could keep handy in a front pocket. Unless I expect to need serious magnification, the DSLR will stay home and might even get sold if idle for too long.

I’d read in one or two reviews that having the camera set on full 9MP might make it more apt to blur so I set it on 5MP for now. Honestly, the menu is not so difficult if you study it a little. It is definitely way easier than most I’ve seen but still manages many features. It doesn’t take long, even without peeking at the manual, to scroll through every part of the menu and get a complete understanding (but do read the manual). I admit I had doubts about the “smile detection” feature and didn’t even notice it has its own button till a couple days ago when I tried it. I wanted to get myself in a group shot and forgot where to turn on the self-timer. Rather than look in the menus, I told my friends to not smile till I got in the pic and gave them a cue. I pushed the :-) button, pressed the shutter button halfway down to focus, then pushed it down, and walked over and got in the group. Then, as soon as we all smiled, we heard the shutter trip. Haha! It worked and even served as a self-timer! I guess for serious or scowling shots, I’d have to use the real self-timer.

Anyway, after reviews I’d read had me thinking I might be returning this camera, it is definitely a keeper! For those with the blurry shots, ALWAYS push the shutter button part way till it focuses, then take your shot. If that didn’t fix things, try lowering the pixel range to 5MP. You still get a hi-def shot twice as big as a 17″ monitor screen and needing to be reduced.

I don’t expect this to send my HD video cam packing but the little video shots I’ve tried were also very impressive. I’m wishing I had thought to take a 5 second moving snapshot of that waterfall. I’m sounding like an ad. A short review would be too short. Lastly, a tip… if you try to get a macro shot of a flower and have trouble focusing, put your hand beside the flower and focus on it, hold that focus, move your hand, and shoot the flower.

“Poor Quality Pictures, Good Price” 2010-05-28
    By M. White
So far I have taken about 100 pictures. I do not believe that it comes close to the 9.1MP that it is advertised as.

Photos with the sun in the background are dark. Close ups are out of focus. The image stabilization mode is a joke.

My suggestion is to save a little more money and buy a Nikon camera.

The is a good camera if you want to take 20 pictures and have one semi decent result.

     “Perfect Case” 2010-07-06

Case was exactly what I needed for my Canon Rebel XSI. Camera fit perfectly and the side pockets have enough room for the charger and extra battery and the overall size of the case is not too big.

“Good camera case for 18-55mm lens” 2010-07-02

The camera case is good for 18-55mm lens. Larger lens probably won’t fit. The side pockets are good to keep sd cards, lens caps, straps, etc.

“excellent travel bag that is durable and comfortable” 2010-06-08
    By AIROLF (USA)
This sturdy bag is compact enough to carry with you everywhere but also roomy enough to fit my Canon Rebel XT with the kit lens (18-55). The side pockets fit two cellphones, pocket change, and microfiber cloths. The top pocket is good for storing memory cards. I have also use one of the pockets to store a TOMTOM One navigation system. The bag is certainly durable – I have taken it through the harshest terrains on hikes of the dessert, both in Utah and Israel.

The reason I really like this camera bag for travelling is that it goes over the shoulder and is easy to place in front of you when you are in sketchy situations/environments and want to protect your bag from pickpockets. The versatility of the over-the-shoulder strap also allows you to use it as a belt for when you are hiking, sitting uncomfortably in vehicles, etc.

I have beaten up this bag during rock-climbing excursions and have come home and washed it in soapy water and it’s as good as new. The bag’s strap is comfortable and does not leave a mark on your shoulder.

    I highly recommend it.

“Sturdy, compact and great looking case!” 2010-05-15
By Lokesh Prakash (San Francisco, CA)
I bought this when I had my Canon Digital Rebel XT about a month ago. Before I bought this, I had another case from another brand, which was getting old. So I looked into Case Logic because I’ve bought a lot of their products before and I know that its always quality stuff. This case was no exception. When I got it, it looked a lot smaller than I had expected (in a good way). It was definitely smaller than my previous case. I was worried at first that It would not fit my camera and kit lens (18-55mm) like my previous case. But to my surprise, it fit even better! It managed to store my camera with the kit lens on, the battery charger, body cap, data cable, memory card box and the case strap which I had not yet attached to the case. All of this fit very comfortably, and there is still room for a little more stuff. The little zipper compartment on the front flap of the case is still empty. Though to be honest, I don’t see much fitting in there anyway. A memory card or two at the most. Maybe something flat. The only downside is that it does not fit my camera manual. It is a bit too big for the case. But I’m sure not everyone usually walks around with their manuals! I have a slight case of OCD, and I just like having everything to do with my camera in one place, you know?

Three days ago, I upgraded my DSLR to the Canon 20D. This camera also still fits in the case with the kit lens on. With this camera though, the fit is a lot more snug since the camera is a lot bigger than the XT. But it still fits, and closes as well as when I had the XT in there. So I am totally satisfied with it! Even if I upgrade to a bigger case, it will definitely be from Case Logic. The build quality is excellent. Soft and padded in the important areas, and slightly more stiff on the flap area. It has a very nice color scheme too. Highly recommended!

“great camera too bad amazon sucks” 2010-08-15
    By Momof61977
This is the best camera ever! ITs quality is 100% all around. The only thing that ever worried me about it was the zoom it seemed like it took a minute to extend all the way so that made me worry it was going to break or stuck and it did Kodak fixed it though because it was still under warranty. I bought my camera from Beach Camera they are a seller on Amazon but I bought it from them off ebay, Amazon charged me 5 times for this camera that I ordered once and wanted to charge me again……it was ridiculous. I dont think Amazon has any clue what they are doing. I used my debit care and they caused me to go into the negative. I hate Amazon and the fact that they dont train their employees correctly is disgusting. Anyhow if you buy this camera you will be pleased but buy it directly from Beach Camera or Kodak. Beach Camera sells it cheaper than anyone else on Amazon by the way.

The M580 is an excellent quality point and shoot camera. I’ve had it about a month, and this camera takes great video and delivers perfect photos. Although I did have a few problems with it freezing on me, 4 times to be exact, which is the only downside, but overall its a great camera. I love my Kodak… and I think it’s a great buy.

I purchased this camera for my Granddaughter and she loves it. It has a lot of great features for her to use. She loved that it was a bright pretty color too.

My only issue is the fact that I ordered it on June 2, 2010 and paid for(expedited) 2 day shipping and didn’t receive it until June 7,2010. I was sure I would have it in time for her Birthday with 2 day shipping. Very disappointing!

Didn’t work out of the box. Kodak tech support was useless. Even went out to buy a new battery to see if that was the problem. Replacement didn’t arrive in time for event it was bought to be used for. I’ll stick to Sony products. Amazon customer service was however fantastic.

“Best Kodak Point and Shoot Yet…” 2010-05-24
    By Howdydooit (Ellicott City, MD)
I have used a myriad of pocket cameras in the past, including other Kodaks. Sometimes it seems as if Kodak will hit a home run and then take two steps back, but it seems as if they’ve broken through with consistent improvements (V550, V1253, M341, etc.). If it’s one thing Kodak has understood well since they invented digital photography, it’s make a camera easy to use, and produce pleasing photos.

Generally, on the point and shoot side, Kodak’s attributes have been ease of use, beautiful display, great video (especially since they started doing HD a few models back), and beautiful, vivid pictures. They also make it pretty easy to update the camera’s firmware when they correct a bug or improve a feature. Typically, Kodak pocket cameras have been weak in low light, sharpness has tended to suffer greatly under borderline lighting conditions, and speed to set up can be slow.

Recently they’ve really improved things with features like face recognition, the camera’s ability to analyze scenes and ‘figure out” your composition, and other attributes that make life easy for point and shooters, but unless the light was with you, you had to work at it more than you should.

It’s been in a lot of Kodak’s traditionally weak areas where I found this camera to have so many improvements. It’s substantially faster than earlier models. There’s no time to play a little “boot up jingle” because when you hit the power button, this camera is ready for action before you are.

Taking pictures in questionable light, with or without flash, is noticeably much better than in my past experience. Before I would have to fiddle with a “scene mode” and/or the flash, and/or the aperture setting to get something I could reasonably use when conditions were nominal. That’s great when you have the time to fiddle with it, but not so hot when you’re at a poorly lit reception or some other indoor event and you have to act fast.

What originally attracted me to the camera was the 8x zoom and previous success with features like smart capture (intelligent scene detection and analysis), and panorama mode. I know my wife will love face recognition – the ability to quickly find pictures of the kids among the hundreds of photos she accumulates on a memory card. Of course the ease of use is big…

I just got back from a “cruisin’ weekend” at the beach with some buddies – thousands of classic cars. Nivana. My buddy had his Canon pocket camera and was reading the manual so he could figure out how to delete pictures. I looked at it and couldn’t see the markings on some of the controls, much less figure out how to delete something. Kodaks always have had dedicated delete and review buttons. Also a menu button and joystick with 4 other controls for quick access to common features, a flash toggle button, scene mode button, etc.

You really waste no time getting up and ready to shoot. The main thing is we’re instantly taking pictures and shooting HD video of hot rods that suddenly appear on the boulevard without staring at the back of the camera. Something I would take for granted – quickly deleting things we don’t want were a luxury for him. That model he had might have been easy, but my attitude is, if you can’t figure it out on the fly, then it’s more complicated than it needs to be. If anything, that’s a Kodak attribute, but I think some people overlook the deeper features because they assume the camera must not be very sophisticated because it’s so easy to use.

The bonus this time was the near instantaneous readiness, clearer night shots, better color in low light, and less fiddling to try to make a useful shot in questionable conditions. It’s obvious to me Kodak took a lot of the criticisms to heart, kept the good things, added a quality 8x optical zoom, and made the other things better.
